For 40 days leading up to Easter, Renew Church is going to participate in a "season of surrender." Jesus once said "if you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it." Over 8 weeks, we'll uncover exactly what Jesus meant by examining his teaching and the example he lived out that took him to the cross. Alongside our series, we'll also participate in some new twists on popular Lent traditions and spiritual disciplines including Lenten sacrifice, online daily devotions, virtual prayer meetings and more! Today Pastor Bartley Sawatsky will continue onto Week 4 of Exodus: The Deliverance of Israel, as he focuses on Exodus chapters 12:43-51. The book of Exodus is foundational to the story of God's relationship with humanity. The pivotal events recorded in the second book of the Bible demonstrate God's great love for His people by rescuing them from slavery in Egypt, forming them into a nation and establishing a covenant with them.
