Ignite Youth is open to students in Jr. High (Grades 6-8) and Sr. High (Grades 9-12). We meet Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm at the Renew Church offices (6745 Century Ave., Suite 3, Mississauga, ON L5N 7K2). The Renew offices are located just off the 401, and students from Milton are invited to join our car pool group. what to expect
Every Tuesday when students arrive, they enjoy time to catch up with their friends and our Ignite leaders, and unwind by playing games and sports together. We then spend time in worship and biblical teaching based on different topics covered throughout the year by our leaders and Renew Church pastors. Afterwards, students end their evening in age-appropriate small groups with our leaders for discussion and prayer. Outside of Tuesday nights, Ignite Youth also gets together for fun outings, movie nights, sports and games, and community service projects.
PARENT RESOURCES
An epidemic of teen mental illness has suddenly arisen with the advent of the smartphone and social media. The negative effects on our youth have been devastating, including sleep deprivation, attention fragmentation, addiction, loneliness, social contagion, social comparison, and perfectionism. Children are being destroyed and many parents feel helpless in how to respond.
In Spring 2026, Ignite Youth hosted a Parent Forum to address two essential topics in the formation of our youth: the parent-first discipleship strategy, and the impacts of smartphone and social media use.
