For 40 days leading up to Easter, Renew Church is going to participate in a "season of surrender." Jesus once said "if you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it." Over 8 weeks, we'll uncover exactly what Jesus meant by examining his teaching and the example he lived out that took him to the cross. Alongside our series, we'll also participate in some new twists on popular Lent traditions and spiritual disciplines including Lenten sacrifice, online daily devotions, virtual prayer meetings and more! Exodus Chapters 5-7:7
This week, Pastor Nathan Bryant continues our series Exodus: The Rise of Moses, as he focuses on Exodus chapters 5 through 7:7. In these passages, Moses and Aaron ask Pharaoh to let the Israelites go, but he refuses and increases their workload. God reassures Moses and Aaron, and gives them miraculous signs to perform before Pharaoh. Despite the signs, Pharaoh hardens his heart and refuses to release the Israelites.
