Exodus Chapter 17

In Exodus 17, the Israelites complain about the lack of water, so Moses strikes a rock and water miraculously flows out. They then face an attack from the Amalekites, but with Moses' hands raised and the help of Aaron and Hur, they defeat their enemies. God promises to punish the Amalekites, and the chapter highlights the Israelites' reliance on God and the importance of unity.

From Series: "Exodus: Lessons in the Desert"

The third section in our Exodus series finds the people of Israel learning some difficult lessons in the desert. After God's miraculous deliverance of Israel from slavery in Egypt, He leads them on a journey to the land He promised to give them. As they begin to experience hardship, the people of Israel quickly turn to doubt and complaint. God uses the journey to teach them and their leader, Moses, to trust in His provision and to obey His commands.
