For 40 days leading up to Easter, Renew Church is going to participate in a "season of surrender." Jesus once said "if you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it." Over 8 weeks, we'll uncover exactly what Jesus meant by examining his teaching and the example he lived out that took him to the cross. Alongside our series, we'll also participate in some new twists on popular Lent traditions and spiritual disciplines including Lenten sacrifice, online daily devotions, virtual prayer meetings and more! Do you ever wonder why some Christians aren’t happier? Or maybe you wonder why you yourself don’t experience more joy in your Christian life. This week, Pastor Andrew Wood talks about what produces true and lasting happiness, and why the Christian faith is the primary means to an authentic, joyful presence. We’ll leave with a challenge this week to pursue the joyful presence of the Lord through rhythms of storytelling and having fun together.
