White Flag

For 40 days leading up to Easter, Renew Church is going to participate in a "season of surrender." Jesus once said "if you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it." Over 8 weeks, we'll uncover exactly what Jesus meant by examining his teaching and the example he lived out that took him to the cross. Alongside our series, we'll also participate in some new twists on popular Lent traditions and spiritual disciplines including Lenten sacrifice, online daily devotions, virtual prayer meetings and more! Pastor Bartley Sawatsky - June 2, 2024

How Do Christians with Differences Live in Harmony?

In his message on Romans 14:13-23, Pastor Bartley Sawatsky explores how Christians with differing opinions can live in harmony. He emphasizes that believers should avoid judging each other and instead focus on not causing others to stumble in their faith. By respecting each other's convictions, particularly on disputable matters, and prioritizing love and peace over personal preferences, Christians can maintain unity. Paul highlights that the Kingdom of God is not about eating and drinking but about righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Therefore, mutual respect and building each other up should be the goal, fostering a harmonious community despite differences.
