The Mix is an initiative to provide fun opportunities for bonding among multiple generations of our Renew Church family. Join us for the Mix Grand River Rafting Trip on July 27th open to women and girls in grades 6 and up! The cost is $75 for a float down the beautiful Grand River in 12-earson rafts ending with a picnic dinner in Paris, Ontario.
Details:
Please be at the specified location by 1:30pm for departure at 1:45pm. We will all be shuttled from our parking spot to the launch point, and we will end the raft where we parked. We'll raft from 2-5pm. Please note: after the raft, there is a picnic dinner included to follow at a park in Paris. Feel free to explore Paris afterwards as well!
What to Bring:
- Good sunscreen, hat, sun glasses, retainer string for eye glasses, water (no alcohol) & snacks, gloves if hands blister easily, lip balm, towel.
- Bring footwear you don’t mind getting wet, because the river bottom is rocky.
- If you burn easy, please wear long sleeves and pants, otherwise swim suits or clothes that dry quickly. Denim jeans are not a good idea, because they stay wet forever!
- If cooler weather dress in layers so you can strip down as you get hot.
- A dry set of clothes for after rafting.
- Picnic blanket
Upon arrival, there are portable washrooms & change rooms. When you come to the desk to register, remember to bring:
- Car Keys
- Sunscreen
- Water
- Snacks
- Double Ziplock Bags for Cell Phones
