Jakob Sawatsky - September 6, 2026

Greet One Another With a Holy Kiss

In the final week of The Art of One-Anothering, Jakob Sawatsky explores the New Testament command to “greet one another with a holy kiss” and what it reveals about Christian fellowship. More than a cultural custom, this greeting points to a deeper reality: in Christ, we belong to God and to one another as family. Jakob challenges the church to move beyond shallow or habitual greetings and to embody sincere, holy, gospel-shaped welcome. Because Christ has welcomed us first, our love, affection, and hospitality should make that welcome visible to others.

From Series: "The Art of One Anothering"

At Renew Church, we work hard at fostering authentic community — not just because it’s fun, but because it’s at the very heart of Jesus for His followers. This summer, we want to celebrate and deepen those connections with our speaking series, The Art of One-Anothering. And what better way to explore this than through a diverse lineup of familiar voices from right here within our own church family? Each speaker will share from their heart on a specific “one another” verse from Scripture, offering practical wisdom on how we can continue to love, serve, and bear with each other
