Compass, Renew Church’s mentorship initiative, is back with new rhythms for a new season! Our vision for the program is to promote spiritual formation through intergenerational relationships and accountability pairings. Over the last two years, we have been thrilled by how younger and older believers are learning together how to walk in the Spirit and be continually formed into the image of Christ. This year we are also including accountability partnerships between believers at similar stages of life.
Here are the details you need to know:
Program Duration:
- October 2024 to May 2025
Commitments:
- Minimum of 2 one-on-one meetings with your mentor/mentee per month
- Discuss the monthly verse with your mentor/mentee
- Discussion questions will be emailed each month to the mentors
- We encourage mentors and mentees to memorize each month’s verse
- Attendance at the large group meetings
- We are meeting as a large group two times this year:
- Program Launch: October 20 from 12:30 to 2:00 (pizza lunch included) at the new church office.
- Mid-year check-in: January date to be confirmed
- Not decided yet if there will be a wrap-up meeting.
- The focus of these meetings will be to strengthen intergenerational relationships and accountability pairings with other mentors/mentees and to share successes and ideas for your one-on-one meetings
